Welcome to Pilot Point Middle School for the 2012-2013 school year. I would like to introduce you to myself and some of the counseling and guidance services available at Pilot Point Middle School. I have worked in the field of education for the past 16 years. During my years as a teacher, I taught in the areas of special education and science. In 2007, I earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling and became a certified school counselor. Before coming to Pilot Middle School, I also served as the K-12 counselor for Lindsay ISD. As counselor at Pilot Point Middle School, I will be offering a wide variety of assistance that all students can take advantage of.

Some of those services include:

· Individual academic planning – scheduling, high school course selection, college prep testing

· Classroom guidance lessons – grade appropriate lessons for each grade to enhance academic and personal achievement

· Individual and group personal counseling – individual counseling as requested, group counseling using a curriculum based program

· Referral information about community resources- by request

· Counseling and Guidance Website that can be accessed through the PPMS website
